Dr. Németh Csilla

Dr. Németh Csilla is an experienced Internal Medicine Specialist with special expertise in Diabetology and Nephrology. She has been working at the Department of Internal Medicine II of Szent István Hospital since 1989, where she developed extensive experience in the management of patients with diabetes and kidney diseases. Since her university years, she has been actively involved in the long-term care of diabetic patients and in scientific research related to diabetes. Her primary professional interest has been diabetic nephropathy and the prevention and treatment of kidney complications associated with diabetes. Since 1998, she has also participated in haemodialysis treatment at the Fresenius Medical Center Dialysis Unit and has experience in Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). In recent years, she has been involved in the management of nephrology patients based on kidney biopsy findings, allowing for modern evidence-based treatment approaches. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, she treated approximately 400–500 patients per month in her Diabetology and Nephrology outpatient clinics. During the pandemic, she worked both in COVID care and vaccination services while continuing her outpatient practice. Since May 2023, she has focused exclusively on outpatient Diabetology and Nephrology care.
